Kontama Foods is a young food startup from Dresden. We are bringing a new product category to the German premium food market: mushroom jerky – plant-based, EU-certified, and sustainable.
Following successful product validation, we are now moving into the scaling phase. We are looking for a working student to actively contribute to our B2B market entry.
Your role
You will support our business development team in building and expanding our B2B sales – from analysis to closing.
Your tasks
Market analysis & lead generation: Identification and qualification of potential trading partners in the premium segment (delicatessen, vegan specialty retail, upscale hotel & restaurant industry).
B2B Acquisition & Outreach: Professional approach to decision-makers via telephone, LinkedIn and email, including sending of product samples.
Strategic Business Development: Evaluation of customer feedback, derivation of recommendations for action and close coordination with management.
Performance measurement & revenue impact: Every successful listing of new trading partners directly contributes to your variable compensation.
A typical workday consists of a mix of research, outreach, follow-ups and short coordination meetings with management.
What you should bring
Status: Enrolled, ideally in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Communication Studies, Business Informatics or a comparable course of study.
Language & Demeanor:
• Fluent German, both spoken and written
• Confident, professional demeanor when dealing with business clients
• Good English skills are required, especially for internal communication within the team.
Method of operation:
• High level of initiative and enjoyment of sales & communication
• Structured, goal-oriented work style
• Desire to take responsibility for measurable results
What we offer you
Fair and performance-based compensation:
• €14.00 basic pay per hour
• plus 5% commission on the revenue you generate
• Target compensation: approx. €16-18 per hour for good performance
Steep learning curve:
• In-depth insights into B2B sales, market entry and brand building
• Direct collaboration with management
• Regular feedback and collaborative development of your sales skills
High flexibility:
• 100% remote work or field service at the customer’s site possible
• 10-20 hours per week, flexibly adaptable to your studies
Structured onboarding:
• Familiarization with the product, story & pitch
• Support with the tools used and with sales arguments
• No “throwing in at the deep end”, but rather collaborative development
