Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
Infineon drives decarbonization and digitalization for a greener future with innovative semiconductor solutions. One important process in the production of semiconductors is plasma etching, used to remove material from the wafer surface. You will be involved in a feasibility study of how machine learning can be implemented within plasma etch development.
During this task, you will be able to:
- Expand your knowledge: Acquire knowledge on plasma etching processing
- Prepare data: Collect, clean, and normalize existing process recipes and specifications
- Develop models: Choose and train a machine learning model to generate starting recipes based on user input and existing data
- Validate and Refine: Pilot test the system, collect user feedback, and refine the model to ensure ongoing improvement
- Write scientificy: Document your results in writing and submitting your Master thesis
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Study field: Currently studying a Master’s degree in Computer or Data Science, or Artificial Intelligence
- Skills: Proven experience on programming in Python, with machine learning frameworks and data analysis tools
- Interests: Strong ambition for computer systems, programming and machine learning
- Experience: Experienced in data analysis, programming, and machine learning, with a strong foundation in statistics and mathematics
- Personality: Very good communication skills and organize your work in a very structured way
- Language skills: You have fluent English skills, both written and spoken, German would be a plus
